Pinterest Case Study:
Before I started focussing on Pinterest, I used to pour hours into my Instagram account with little to show for my efforts. Especially after the algorithm changes in 2019, it became clear that the kind of growth users used to be able to achieve was no longer as easy.
At the suggestion of a coach, I decided to start giving Pinterest a try.
At first, I set a goal for myself to reach 100k monthly Pinterest viewers, thinking it would take months. However, I was able to hit that goal after only one month! Within a week I had already climbed to 200k and then 300k monthly viewers.
I’ve grown my business Pinterest to get 1.1 million monthly impressions and climbing. Growth like that is unheard of on other platforms, and now 90% of the traffic to my site comes from Pinterest.
Traffic from Pinterest has allowed me to
- Increase page views, ad revenue, and get brand deals
- Get email subscribers
- Have customers purchase a product or service
- Read a tutorial, or blog post
- Gain Instagram Followers
A common fallacy is that businesses need a lot of followers to make sales. However, unlike other platforms, you do not need a big following to do well on Pinterest. You can start sending traffic to your website right away.
After Covid19, I took a break from posting to the blog. Despite algorithm changes and inactivity, my evergreen content continued to act as an investment account. My traffic from Pinterest continued to climb, and I received over 20,000 website visits.
