It’s no secret that Pinterest is one of the hottest platforms for coaches and creators who are ready to scale and expand their businesses with ease. Whether you’re a newbie on Pinterest or have been using it for years, this post answers all of the juicy questions I get as a Pinterest Strategist for coaches.
1. HOW CAN I GROW ON PINTEREST?
This is everyone’s most burning question. Knowing that many creators receive 3x the amount of traffic from Pinterest, compared to other platforms like Facebook, is an exciting prospect. Everyone wants to know how they can do it, too. But there isn’t one easy answer.
All accounts, industries, and audiences are different, which is why patience, strategy, and testing are all essential pieces of finding success on Pinterest.

YOU MUST KEEP UP TO DATE WITH CHANGING ALGORITHMS AND STRATEGIES
Pinterest is constantly changing things up, making their platform more user friendly and filtering out spam. This is a GOOD thing, don’t take too much notice to those who complain about algorithm changes. Brands that make sure to stay up to date with the changes or hire cutting edge strategists to continue to research and drive results, will always have a leg up on the competition. You can see some incredible results on Pinterest by continuing to adapt.
RESEARCH PINTEREST TRENDS
Pinterest has amazing tools for researching what consumers want RIGHT now. Take advantage of this and use it as a guide for your content creation. This research is fantastic because it will serve you on ALL platforms. You can start your research by using the Pinterest trends tool.
DON'T FORGET THAT PINTEREST IS A VISUAL PLATFORM
Don’t forget that Pinterest is also a visual platform, so make sure you create original, high-quality that resonates with your audience.

2. SHOULD I USE TAILWIND FOR PINTEREST MARKETING?
The short answer is YES! Tailwind is the secret ingredient for consistency on Pinterest, and there are tricks to quickly easily create fresh high ranking pins on Tailwind! They also provide analytics to show your top-performing pins and provide additional insights into what type of content is working well.
The time saved alone with scheduling makes Tailwind a valuable tool for your Pinterest marketing, but you should also know that Tailwind Communities are invaluable. Tailwind Communities offers an easy platform to collaborate and share related content by other creators and vice versa. You can search for and join active and relevant communities that fit your audience. Then you re-pin other people’s content from the Community, and they re-share yours. It’s a win-win scenario and is still an excellent method for growth.
However, it is worth considering adding a manual pinning method to your strategy as well. The combination of fresh scheduled pins on Tailwind, and LIVE pinning on the app can skyrocket your growth!

3. HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I BE PINNING PER DAY?
Gone are the days of pinning over 40+ pins per day. Now you can say hello to pinning quality over quantity. Pinterest is focusing on fresh and new content, which means their platform overall has become less spammy, and more valuable.
Pinning 15 to 20 pins per day is usually the sweet spot for optimal growth. If you are in the habit of creating fresh content every week, this is the goal! However, quality is ALWAYS better than quantity. If you’re a brand new account, I would recommend starting with 10 high-quality pins per day as you get into the groove of things and work your way up to optimal growth.
